In 2019 I had the chance to collaborate in a project lead by the IEEC (Institut d'Estudis Espacials de Catalunya).
The project used data to visualize a newly discovered planet in a known star ‘Barnard‘. The data showed a planet with very interesting features. At only 6 million light/years away from the sun, with the mass of 3.2 earths and at -170ºC.
The planet looked like a dark and cold place but its relative proximity to earth gave a unique opportunity.
This is a infographic video with descriptions of Barnard's star and the newly detected planet candidate, as well as some comparison with the Solar System.
All images of stars and planets are artistic representations.
